Keen supporters of Grooveschool, 3 Minds are a trio with roots from the island of Ibiza. It is there that they nurtured a deep passion for House and Techno, experiencing the magic of what a loud system can do in clubs, such as DC10, from an early age. Made up of brothers Joshua and Fabian Coles, with good friend Harvey Beach, they all three had early careers playing out in small venues and grassroots parties across the island.
Since then, they have taken their sidestepping grooves to London, where they have showcased their talents at various venues. One particular event at iconic club The Cause had them shaking the walls at the strike of midnight for its last-ever party on New Year’s Eve.
When it comes to Dance Music, these three know it’s more than just about clubbing, it’s a family affair. With familial ties to the pioneers of Tech-House, there are few who have grown up with such an intimate and inimitable understanding of what Dance Music can do. Make people move together, just like they do. Better than one.

6pm: Joel Brittain
Helping Grooveschool with many technical aspects over the years, American born Joel Brittain started his journey with electronic music in 1993 after hearing techno for the first time a year prior and not really even knowing what to call it. His passion for music stems from early life having picked up the piano from the age of 4, the drums at 8 and guitar at 11, however discovering techno and the wider world of electronic music was a massive game changer. Fascinated by the possibilities of a single composer being able to produce an entire arrangement consisting of virtually any sound imaginable was the main drive behind the lifelong quest that ensued.
Shortly after moving to London in 2000, he started to find his feet in music production with the support of his peers and influences in the house/ techno world. Starting off by running a small, underground, vinyl only label called Nonsuchrecordings in 2004, which had a few releases just before the great vinyl crash of the mid 2000s from artists such as Tom Gillieron, Style of Eye, Ravi McArthur), he then began releasing his own productions in 2007 through various labels such as Wrong, Reverberations, Tango, Native Soul, Elevation, Gated, Delusions of Grandeur and more
Over the years he has embraced many different styles and genres of electronic music and this becomes clear in the sound he delivers to the dancefloor. It can be punchy, funky, percussive, melodic, moody or all out pumping but whatever shape it takes, it’s always from the heart – and that what’s comes across the most
7pm: Silverlining B2B Sueezo
Silverlining
A trustee of Grooveschool, The early 90s seemed to be a breeding ground for influential dance music and this is precisely when Silverlining penetrated the underground electronic scene. What started out as a bit of fun turned into a lengthy andwholesome love affair with music that’s still all-systems-go to this day. From the first record he made over 25 years ago, to the present, his work continually has been animated by a uniquely vibrant and authentic energy that blurs the lines between a multitude of electronic genres.
A born natural to the studio and the booth alike, Silverlining (real name Asad Rizvi) was recently cited as a “master of groove” by XLR8R Magazine. Whether it be budding producers dissecting his techniques, crate diggers on a voyage through his seemingly never-ending back-catalogue, or partygoers dancing to his sounds through a stack, Silverlining is a name constantly on the tips of tongues.
Sueezo
Our first international guest. Over to play at Lion and Lamb for Dubs in the Pub we welcome the very talented Sueezo. Born in Valencia, Sueezo is a deejay and producer trained in the schools of Hip-Hop, Jazz and Funk. He started mixing records at the age of 15, the age at which he already had his first job as a resident deejay at a nightclub. Since then he has not stopped collecting records and visiting booths. He has worked with record labels and parties such as Oblack Label, Acmé or Rooted and is currently a resident of Oven Club (Valencia) and owner of the Discos Malvarrosa label.

“Looking forward to this year with the stage and everything. Be great to hear the young talents play there. They’ve been making some interesting tunes of late and i look forward to hearing them rock the tent. It’s through these live performances that we see them grow into themselves with confidence. And for our team these are the moments that bring it all together. Many thanks to the folks at the country show for enabling this again in 2024.”
