Knowledge and understanding
We want to bring our Community closer together and in doing so increase our knowledge and understanding of one another. As the forum’s name implies, we aim to strengthen the links between us, yet at the same time highlight the many issues that still adversely affect us.
Inroads into initiatives
Established during the first lockdown of 2020, Lambeth Links has grown with local community members (all of whom are volunteers) and officially launched in February 2021 as part of ‘LGBT History Month’. It was at this time Lambeth Links also became a registered Charity. Since then, we have focussed on a number of initiatives including a virtual speaker series covering issues facing the Community, acted as the borough’s LGBTIQ+ Census 2021 partner and collaborated on community events including a recent Pride picnic in the borough.
Our Future is our Community
Lambeth Links continue to make inroads into supporting the LGBTIQ+ Community through increased representation and championing voices that may not otherwise be heard. Our monthly podcast series has seen leading members of the Community share their stories and through “Pride in Practice” Lambeth Links continue to focus on improving healthcare services for LGBTIQ+ individuals in the borough.
If you would like to connect with Lambeth Links and you live, work or frequently socialise within Lambeth, they are currently looking for a Disability Rep, Bi Rep and Events Manager.
